Ama’Ca Dulza | Lake View & Slow Living Share Saved

Ama’Ca Dulza is an authentic, pet-friendly home on Lake Como, with open lake views and a large shared garden.
I restored it with passion and love for its authenticity, personally curating the architectural and interior choices and working with skilled professionals to bring this vision to life. I wanted to respect the original character of the village houses – stone walls, ancient niches, wooden ceilings – and find a balance between historic soul and modern comfort, so this place could keep telling its story while being easy and pleasant to live in today.

It is located in Laglio, just a short walk from Villa Oleandra and along the Via Verde, one of the most beautiful walking paths on the lake.
I chose to share this place because I truly believe in slow living: in the value of time that slows down, unhurried breakfasts, walks, silence, and the simple things that make us feel good.

Ama’Ca Dulza is for those travelling with their dog and for anyone looking for an authentic place to reconnect with the real things in life.
It is ideal for couples, families, walkers, cyclists and smart workers who seek nature, peace and a gentler way of living the lake.
Pets are welcome, as long as they are well-behaved and respectful of the space.

The house offers two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, reliable Wi-Fi, air conditioning and underfloor heating in every room.
The lake is a 3-minute walk away, the public beach about 10 minutes.

The entrance opens onto a bright dining area that flows naturally into the kitchen and the open-plan living room: a warm space where you immediately feel at home.

The kitchen is fully equipped with an induction hob, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, kettle, toaster and Nespresso machine.
In the living room you’ll find a small desk for quiet work, a Smart TV and a few board games for slow evenings.

The bedrooms are designed for true rest.
One overlooks the lake, the other the mountains behind Laglio. Both feature 160×200 cm beds, blackout curtains, reading lights and comfortable storage. Here, sleep is part of the experience.

The two bathrooms offer spacious showers, excellent water pressure, hairdryers and complimentary nickel-tested toiletries. The main bathroom also includes a washing machine, useful for longer stays.

Outside, a 150 m² garden with lake view awaits you: a patio for outdoor dining, an outdoor kitchen with electric Weber BBQ, sun loungers, a hammock and soft evening lighting.
Under the cherry tree is my favourite spot – shade, silence and sunset over the lake. Perfect for an aperitivo, a book, or simply doing nothing.
Guests are welcome to visit the vegetable garden and pick what is ready.

Free public parking is about 300 metres from the house, reachable via a short walk through the stone alleys of the village.

I live on the upper floor with a separate entrance. The only shared space is the garden, which is entirely at your disposal, though from time to time you may find me there taking care of the plants.

ACCESS & LOCATION

Reaching Ama’Ca Dulza is part of the charm of Laglio: arrival is always on foot, along short stone paths typical of the village.
It is an easy walk that prepares you for the calm atmosphere that awaits you.

There are three public parking areas about 300–350 metres from the house (5 minutes on foot):

two routes are almost completely flat

a third access includes a short climb with low steps, more characteristic and slightly more demanding

Arriving in the lake-view garden is your first real welcome.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- City tax: a municipal tourist tax of €2 per night is due for guests aged 11 and over, for up to 7 nights.
- Guest registration & contract: in accordance with Italian law, before arrival we will need ID documents for all guests for police registration, ISTAT reporting, and the signing of a short tourist rental contract. The contract simply formalises your online booking. I will guide you step by step to make everything easy and quick.
- Waste separation: recycling rules in Italy are strict. Please separate waste according to the instructions in the house.
- Respect for the place and neighbours: Ama’Ca Dulza is in a residential village lived in all year round. This is a place of quiet.
For the community and neighbours: no parties or events, no unregistered additional guests, and please respect quiet hours from 22:00 to 8:00, avoiding loud music and noisy conversations, indoors and in the garden.

This place exists to be shared with travellers who value simple things: time, silence, light on the lake, and the chance to pause and breathe.
